Job Details:

• Work day shifts with on-call/callback requirements during holidays and weekends per unit needs
• Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia including equipment preparation and monitor placement
• Ensure cleanliness and availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Set-up medications and supplies where applicable
• Communicate continuously with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs and anesthesia technologists
• Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and central line catheter placement
• Operate cell-saver machine and track lab reports
• Participate in cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and other advanced surgical cases
• Provide primary support ensuring anesthesia equipment is in good working order
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment
• Set up and operate sophisticated equipment with advanced troubleshooting capabilities
• Assist in development and implementation of in-service training programs
• Perform anesthesia equipment setup including testing infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, defibrillators
• Calibrate anesthesia machines and attach fiberoptic bronchoscopes to video monitors
• Set-up rooms between cases and maintain carts throughout the day
• Provide full service setup at end of day
• Support ectopic procedures for anesthesia care with proper out-of-OR equipment
• Provide backup to shift supervisor during absences
• BLS certification required
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech required
• Certification by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other nationally recognized body preferred
