PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• Provide pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for pediatric and adult populations
• Support patients across all major surgical services including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Pulmonary Lab
• Work across a department featuring a total of 34 operating rooms on 2 floors
• Utilize special equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein
• Perform and assist with special procedures including regional anesthesia and ECT
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio
• 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract
• Preferred background in PACU or Pre/Post Op experience; Critical Care Post Op experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must be located more than 65 miles from facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• Epic experience required
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS (AHA certifications required)
