Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work as a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU)
• Care for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemaker procedures
• Manage approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)
• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Work every other weekend schedule
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• Must have 1+ year ICU experience (floating experience not considered)
• EKG experience required
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• Preferred experience in Neuro, CVICU, Trauma
• Preferred experience managing ventilators, CRRT and balloon pumps
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year required
• Strict 3 strike attendance policy - immediate termination for 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late
• Must make up any call-ins within the contract time frame
• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions
• Participate in national clinical trials managed by NISUS research department
