Registered Nurse - ICU @ Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 6-week contract assignment
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for both days and nights
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Must work one holiday per contract
• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in the 6-week block
• May be required to float to Med Surg or other Carilion locations with mileage reimbursement
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• 1 year of experience required
• Must be skilled in cardiac/hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Care for adult and geriatric patients only
• Daily census of 4 patients in a 5-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending license accepted for single-state non-compact licenses only
