SLP - SLP Inpatient Outpatient

Job Details:

• Provide speech, language, and dysphagia services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform patient evaluations and administer treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Conduct bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring for inpatient services
• Perform outpatient videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS) and speech therapy evaluation and intervention for adult population
• Design and revise plans of care and goals for individual patients
• Provide written and/or verbal reports to physicians
• Complete documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in in-service education programs, patient care committees, case conferences, and staff meetings
• Must be able to work independently and hit the ground running
• On-call required with rotating weekends for inpatient (typically once per month)
• EMR system: McKesson
• Dress code: Business casual or matching scrubs
• 2+ years of SLP experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• VFSS experience required
• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Must be willing to work in both inpatient and outpatient units
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• New graduates will not be considered
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), CCC/Certificate of Clinical Competency
• Current Michigan SLP license required
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• At least one supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
