About this role

St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix is recruiting an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join its IR team. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 29, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $3,182.80.

Position Overview

You will work 4 days per week on 10-hour shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday with possible Saturday coverage. Day shift hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. There are no call requirements, and you will not float outside the Radiology department.

Clinical Scope

You will manage 5–10 cases daily across 2 general IR suites, 1 Spine IR room, and 2 neuro endovascular suites. Common procedures include GI and GJ tube placements, port insertions, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stent placements, IVC filters, and blood patches. In neuro cases, you will assist with endovascular procedures, embolizations, stents, and stroke interventions. You will scrub alongside physicians and work with sedation cases alongside 2 RNs. Experience with Level I trauma and scrubbing is expected; neuro experience is preferred for endovascular work.

Required Qualifications

  • Allied Health Professional credential
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • Arizona license MRTBE-CRT
  • BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • VI certificate (not required)
  • Neuro experience
  • Scrub experience

Equipment and Systems

You will receive orientation training on Philips Allura imaging systems and Medrad injector equipment. The facility uses Cerner EMR and DR (PACS) for case management.
