Pediatrics Med Surg RN Job in Williamsport, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Pediatrics unit at North Central – UPMC Williamsport, caring for both pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (approximately 36 hours weekly)
• Rotating day and night shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric and adult medical-surgical patients
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with patients and families, addressing clinical, psychosocial, safety, and spiritual needs
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in patient assessment and management
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient conditions, care plans, and recommendations
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of care and safe transitions across settings
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills required for age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Work productively while managing multiple and changing priorities in a complex healthcare environment

Requirements:

• Current Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in Pennsylvania or multistate license through Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Pediatric and adult medical-surgical experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Pennsylvania clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73

Compensation: $2,170 weekly. Assignment duration: 90 days. Start date: October 19, 2026.
