CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Tampa, FL

St. Josephs Hospital - Baycare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse with cardiac and vascular operating room (CVOR) experience. This 91-day travel assignment begins August 3, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,820.

Role Overview

You will circulate open heart surgeries and vascular cases in a hybrid room environment, providing direct patient care with a 1:1 patient ratio during day shifts. You will care for patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—and manage diverse clinical presentations including peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, peripheral artery disease, carotid disease, coronary artery disease, valve disease, TAVR, and aortic dissections.

Responsibilities

• Circulate open heart surgeries and vascular cases
• Perform and assist with special procedures including angiograms, aortograms, EVAR, TVAR, TCAR, and open AAA
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout your shift
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed
• Cover every third weekend (4 weekend shifts per contract)

Schedule & Duration

This is a 4x10 day shift assignment spanning 91 days. You will be required to cover every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Current Florida nursing license or valid compact license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Vascular and cardiac operating room experience required
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Cerner EMR experience (preferred)

Scrubs are provided by the facility. You must reside at least 100 miles from the hospital to qualify for this travel position.
