ED RN Job in Salem, VA

Join Lewisgale Medical Center VA as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This is a travel position offering 91 days of work on a 3×12 night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), beginning April 20, 2026. You'll earn $1,971 per week.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in the Blue Hills FSED Emergency Department, managing both high and low acuity patients. Working as part of a night shift team of 2 RNs, you'll maintain 4:1 patient ratios in an 8-bed setting. Your responsibilities include medication administration, critical patient care, laboratory work, and typical ED procedures. You must be comfortable caring for critically ill patients and working independently as well as collaboratively with your team.

Staffing & Scheduling

• Night shift: 2 RNs per shift
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• No floating between departments

Requirements & Certifications

You must hold current certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC. ENPC certification is preferred. Prior emergency department nursing experience is required.

Facility Details

The facility uses GE equipment and Meditech EMR systems. Staff dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
