PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a contract replacement position for a 91-day assignment.

Role Overview

You will provide intermediate-level nursing care for patients who require closer monitoring than general medical floors but less intensive care than an ICU. Your patients will include those with complex medical conditions and post-surgical patients who need vigilant observation and skilled nursing interventions.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with complex medical conditions and post-operative care needs
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain detailed and timely patient documentation in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory requirements
• Provide direct patient care and support to patients and their families

Schedule and Compensation

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. This assignment begins April 15, 2026 and runs for 91 days. Your weekly pay is $2,102.40.

What We're Looking For

You hold a current RN license and have experience in progressive care, intermediate care, or similar acute-care nursing settings. You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
