Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - EP Lab</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 hour day shifts with varying start times: 0600-1830, 0700-1930, or 0800-2030<br>• Call requirements include Saturday 0700-1700 and Sunday 0700-1400 on a rotational basis (approximately once every 4-6 weeks)<br>• Provide high level care for Cath Lab patients pre and post procedures<br>• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care<br>• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures<br>• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within scope of practice<br>• Admit and prep patients for Cath procedures including charting pre-procedure checklists, IV starts, and access preparation<br>• Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)<br>• Recover patients following Cath procedures who had conscious sedation<br>• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures including CV and TEE<br>• Discharge patients including teaching, documentation, and physical discharge<br>• Work with high risk, high acuity patients in the Cardiac Observation Unit<br>• Required certifications: RN-AZ or compact state license, ACLS, BLS<br>• Experience considered from PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center on case-by-case basis</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility features a specialized Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) where patients are prepped for cardiac procedures and recovered post-procedure.
