Med Surg RN Job in Detroit, MI

You will provide direct clinical nursing care on a medical-surgical unit at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. This is a 56-week travel assignment offering three 12-hour day shifts weekly, beginning June 15, 2026. You will work 07:00–19:30 each shift day.

Your Role

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients each shift
• Deliver unit-level nursing care and manage patient progress and safety
• Supervise nursing staff and delegate care responsibilities appropriately
• Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care delivery
• Monitor and maintain the clinical competency of nursing team members
• Manage resources related to patient care efficiently
• Support the facility's Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining nursing care standards

Compensation & Schedule

You will earn $1,944 weekly. The 3x12 day schedule allows flexibility while maintaining full-time patient care responsibilities. This assignment runs for 56 weeks in the Detroit, Michigan area.
