About this role

Woman's Hospital of Texas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Houston, TX. You will work in the Cardiopulmonary unit on the 4th floor, providing specialized respiratory care in a dynamic critical care environment.

Assignment Details:

  • Schedule: 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Duration: 91 days, starting July 13, 2026
  • Patient ratio: 7:1
  • Weekly pay: $1,708.20

Clinical Requirements:

  • You must have documented NICU and PICU experience
  • Level 3 NICU experience or pediatric critical care experience is required; adult-only experience will not qualify
  • NRP and delivery experience required
  • PALS certification required; adult ICU experience preferred
  • Current certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS, and BLS

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform intubations and surfactant administration
  • Manage specialized equipment including Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide, Pneuton, and Oscillator A
  • Provide delivery room support with NRP-level care
  • Float to Adult ICU, Med-Surg floors, Level 2 NICU, Level 3 NICU, Level 4 NICU, PICU, and pediatric units as assigned

Shift & Scheduling:

  • You must clock in and be ready for report no later than 6:37 AM for day shift or 6:37 PM for night shift
  • Four weekend shifts required per four-week schedule
  • Gray monogrammed scrubs required
