RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Rotating shift schedule working both day shift (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) and night shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Schedule may include day shift one week and night shift the next, or a mix of both within the same week
• Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• 1 holiday required per contract
• No on-call required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BSN required
• Must be proficient with CRRT/CVVHD, hemodynamic monitoring, IABPs, Impellas, and caring for postoperative heart surgery patients (CABG/Valves)
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• May float to any Adult ICU or Telemetry unit with an appropriate assignment if census is down in CVICU
• Key skills required include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and management of post cardiac surgery patients
• Special equipment includes IABP, Impella, ECMO, POC devices (EPOC and Sig Elite), pacemakers, VADs, and rapid infuser
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• First time travelers accepted
• PA or compact license required at time of submission
