About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the General Emergency Department at BJC West - Saint Lukes South Hospital, serving combined adult and pediatric patients. This role offers a 3x12 nights schedule with a 91-day contract starting August 3, 2026, at a weekly pay of $2,011.39.

Position Details

  • Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts and weekends
  • 8–10 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period (Friday, Saturday, Sunday mix)
  • Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed
  • Float assignments may occur between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities
  • No on-call requirement
  • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; maximum 7 days of requested time off
  • No block scheduling available

Qualifications

  • Current RN license; Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license required at submission
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
  • Preferred certifications: CPI and MAB
  • Epic charting system experience preferred

Required Clinical Skills

  • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
  • Central line and arterial line care
  • Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressor administration
  • CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
  • Isolation precautions and triage

Preferred Skills

  • STEMI and stroke certified facility experience
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and ABG interpretation

Patient populations include neonates, infants, adolescents, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Occasional obstetric patients may require management of mother and baby until transfer. Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
