Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026. You'll work the night shift in an adult critical care setting, bringing your expertise to patients who need respiratory support and diagnostic services.

Schedule & Expectations

• 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Block schedule accommodations possible with prior approval

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years critical care experience required
• Adult critical care experience required
• NBRC RRT certification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• South Carolina RCP license must be in hand at start date
• First-time travelers not accepted

Role Details

You'll float only to main hospital adult population areas with the same policies and equipment as your primary assignment. The facility uses Epic for charting. During hurricane season (June through November), you may be assigned to emergency response teams. Scrubs are Caribbean Blue.

Compensation & Logistics

You'll earn $1,866.24 per week. Parking for nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 payment for a parking pass. All requested time off must be submitted at the time you apply.
