Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit required
• Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital required
• Patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS preferred
• Experience with Meditech Expanse computer charting required
• May float to Emergency Department to function as task nurse
• Work on 25 private-bed unit (23 floor beds, 2 Medical Decision Unit beds)
• Care for patients with COPD exacerbation, CHF, swing bed patients, amputations, wound care, long-term antibiotics, post partum, and pediatrics
• Central telemetry monitoring with two portable tele monitors
• Work with Alaris pumps
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Charge Nurse available on every shift without patient assignment
• Support from Social Services with 3 Case Managers, 1-2 Nurse Aides or Unit Clerks
• Orientation held every Wednesday consisting of three days classroom and one shift with preceptor
