Ob/Gyn Sonographer Job in Marietta, GA

Wellstar Kennestone OB/GYN is seeking an Allied Health Professional Sonographer for their Maternal Fetal Medicine department. This day shift position offers you the opportunity to perform specialized ultrasound procedures in a focused clinical setting.

Schedule and Compensation

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 91-day contract
• $1,867 weekly pay
• Start date: October 14, 2026

Role Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures in the OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine department
• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to performing procedures
• Obtain quality diagnostic studies and review ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results
• Ensure proper patient identification using two unique identifiers before each procedure
• Send completed studies to PACS immediately after completion and complete all studies in RIS
• Maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection and follow infection control policies
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment as needed
• Push and retrieve images from ultrasound console to PACS
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and applicable regulatory agency requirements

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ARDMS or ARRT Sonography certification
• Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound experience required
• Experience with EPIC, Viewpoint, GE, and Phillips ultrasound units required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical sonography experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography diploma or degree preferred
• Successful completion of a Sonography Training Program required
