Sterile Processing Technician Job in Allentown, PA

You will work as a Sterile Processing Technician at LVH – Cedar Crest, a Level 1 trauma center in Allentown, PA. This is a full-time travel position running 5 days per week on evening shifts (8-hour days) for 91 days, starting September 21, 2026. Your weekly pay is $1,440.

You will support a fast-paced sterile processing department serving a main operating room with 24 ORs plus several ancillary units. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing manual cleaning, disinfection, sterilization wrapping, and steam sterilization testing and monitoring
• Operating immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) equipment and conducting aseptic technique procedures
• Reprocessing scopes and probes, including endoscopes, bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, cystoscopes, and TEE probes
• Assembling and organizing instrument sets and trays, including loaner and consignment inventory
• Performing high-level disinfection (HLD) and managing Steris and Sterrad testing and monitoring
• Supporting robotic surgical systems including Da Vinci SP and Da Vinci Xi platforms

Required Qualifications:

• Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) issued by IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) issued by CBSPD
• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience (3 years preferred)
• Acute hospital operating room experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and scope/probe reprocessing
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred

You will serve patients across all age groups, from neonates and infants through pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Weekend coverage is required based on department need, with typically one weekend shift per 4-week schedule and holiday rotation as needed.
