Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Resource Pool position allocated to Cherokee Medical Center with potential floating to main campus if needed
• RN will know ahead of time where they are scheduled
• Patient ratios of 1:6
• 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 1+ year nurses on case-by-case basis
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation - one chance to pass
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Experience with telemetry monitoring required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs
• Required to work either 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Must pass fit test onsite; shaving may be required
• Work with chest tubes and wound vacs
• Centralized telemetry monitoring with tech support
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology
• Treat patients with sepsis, dementia, post-op, orthopedic, chest pain, and stroke cases
• Attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in contract review for cancellation
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
