Job Details:

• Minimum 6 months of work experience in a long-term care health facility required
• Previous work experience in Hawaii is preferred
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers certification within 6 months of employment
• Provide direct personal care services to a caseload of patients
• Take vital signs, measure output, and recognize abnormal signs and symptoms
• Assist with activities of daily living including eating/feeding, providing fluids, bathing, and dressing
• Participate in restorative care activities using assistive devices and range of motion exercises
• Assess and address age-specific patient needs
• Assist and participate in treatment team activities
• Maintain knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, and body mechanics
• Document and report patient observations accurately
• Demonstrate respect toward patients with various disabilities
• Maintain emotional stability under pressure
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Follow oral and written instructions precisely
