ED RN Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 15-week travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Position Details

• Work 3 twelve-hour day shifts weekly, totaling 36 hours
• No guaranteed hours
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover in a team-oriented setting

Facility

The emergency department comprises 28 beds, including 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. You will provide direct patient care in this busy acute-care setting.

Requirements

• Current Hawaii nursing license required at assignment start
• If not currently licensed in Hawaii, you must apply upon offer acceptance and obtain licensure by the assignment start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Certifications

• Procedural Sedation
• TMCC
• EMPC

Onboarding

You are required to arrive on Thursday before your start date for a mandatory employee health appointment on Friday.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,102.40.
