Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical @ Piedmont Augusta Hospital

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Work with adults to geriatrics patient population
• Care for 42-bed unit with mostly post-surgical patients including orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurology, and general surgery patients
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• BLS certification required
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday work requirements: work one holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two out of three if three fall during assignment
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• 24 orientation hours required
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
