Medical Technologist - Lab

Job Details:

• Work overnight shifts, 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Possible department assignments include Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and front end Microbiology (plating, rapid testing), as well as Specimen receiving and processing
• Training provided to cover either Hematology/front end Microbiology or Chemistry/front end Microbiology depending on available staff skill sets
• Overnight techs typically work stretches to allow for consecutive days off with schedule flexibility available
• Utilize equipment including Siemens Atellicas, Sysmex XN line, Sysmex CS2500s, Abbott DxU, TEG6, and Cepheid
• Document using Meditech Expanse system
• Certification required from ASCP, AMT, or comparable accrediting body - must be in hand at time of submission
• Dress code requires scrubs and closed toe, closed heel shoes (no shoes with holes such as Crocs)
• Lab coats and other PPE are provided onsite
