CT Technologist Job in Metropolis, IL

Massac Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time position working days, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedures
• Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician, determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current, and exposure time
• Position patients for proper imaging of the affected area and provide instruction on physiological requirements for the procedure
• Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously or through other body cavities
• Verify that required consent forms are signed before each procedure
• Complete exam charting and record pertinent patient information in medical records
• Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring and record outcomes
• Operate portable radiographic equipment throughout the hospital, including medical/surgical units, cardiac care units, recovery areas, and emergency rooms
• Manage control desk duties and perform PACS operations as assigned
• Ensure accurate PACS operation and timely transmission of images for physician interpretation
• Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-ray physics, equipment operation, anatomy, and professional responsibilities
• Transport and assist patients to and from imaging departments as needed

You will work with a collaborative team in a busy hospital environment and help patients prepare for and undergo diagnostic imaging procedures.
