Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Float required to other Med/Surg units including forensics, ED, and post-partum inpatient units
• Must be comfortable working with the prison population
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 during days and 1:6 during nights
• Weekend coverage required with 6 shifts every 6 weeks
• 18-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient population includes underserved, underinsured, homeless, and insured individuals
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), and NIHSS
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA, peripheral line care and management, post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac cath care, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry and remote monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, and administration of chemotherapy
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
