ED RN Job in Payson, AZ

Join Banner Payson Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. You'll work a 3x12 night shift schedule over a 90-day travel assignment beginning September 6, 2026, earning $2,446.20 weekly.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients presenting to the emergency department. You'll review patient histories and physical examinations with patients and families, ensuring timely completion of intake processes. You will review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results promptly to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

Your responsibilities include formulating and implementing individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs, assessment findings, and the medical plan of care. You'll provide direct patient care, coordinate activities, delegate tasks, and supervise healthcare team members as needed. You will evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes.

Documentation of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation must be accurate and timely. You may participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives and support staff education, role development, and orientation for new team members. Depending on experience level, you may precept and mentor nursing personnel.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently with adequate physical agility. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions will be used due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
