Oncology RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Oncology unit. You will work the night shift, providing care to patients with surgical oncology, medical oncology, and chemotherapy treatment needs.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Subject to low census adjustments in 4-hour increments; you may work 4, 8, or 12 hours depending on unit census

Responsibilities

• Care for 5:1 patient ratios on night shift (may reach 7:1 during peak census)
• Float to other areas as needed in 4-hour blocks, with float assignments occurring before staff RN floats
• Work alongside night shift techs and CNAs scheduled on all shifts
• Use Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris infusion pumps

Requirements

• Valid Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and Chemotherapy Certification
• Minimum 2+ years nursing experience; 1 year on a medical-surgical oncology (MSO) unit preferred
• Oncology experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous electronic charting experience required; Epic EMR experience preferred

Assignment Details

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 17, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,428.20
• Any scrub color permitted
