Opportunity:

RN - Wound Care Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with four 10-hour shifts per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Treat a minimum of 5 to 15 patients per day depending on new consults
• Work alongside 3 to 4 other RNs in this role
• Float to multiple facilities including St. Clare, St. Elizabeth, St. Frances, St. Anthony, and St. Anne as needed, sometimes planned in advance
• Manage and coordinate patient care and wound management including consults, recommendations, documentation, billing, and discharge planning for supplies
• Treat common diagnoses including ostomies, draining wounds or fistulas, pressure ulcers, vascular, arterial and diabetic ulcerations, as well as skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures, and trauma
• Perform identification, assessment, prevention, and continuing education related to skin and tissue integrity and altered continence
• Collaborate interdisciplinarily and utilize phone for photo documentation
• Operate Smith and Nephew wound vacs
• Chart using EPIC electronic health record system
• No color preference for scrub or dress code
• Required certifications: BLS, WOCN preferred (WCC via NAWCO accepted)
• CWON certification preferred; no previous travel experience required
• BSN not required
