Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules available
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No call responsibilities
• Floating to Medical Surgical units required with 1:7 patient ratios
• Patient ratios: 1:5 PCU during all shifts
• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience within the past 2 years
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience
• Work on hybrid PCU unit with 35 beds and daily census of 33 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, wound care, and pre/post neurosurgery care
• 24/7 phlebotomy, RRT and supervisor support available
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease
