ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in the Emergency Department
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• General Emergency Department experience with combined adult and pediatric patients
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• All RNs are required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam regardless of specialty
• Subject to float to other campuses if needed
