Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during each shift
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Apply scientific knowledge and clinical skills to make sound patient care judgments
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Must be competent with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, with knowledge of titration and application
• Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms
• Must possess critical thinking skills with ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene accordingly
• Must possess knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and be able to recognize changes in patient status and intervene
• Must have strong communication skills
• 2+ years of experience required
• Must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts on time
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to Med Surg/Telemetry specialty required
