PCU Registered Nurse Job in Roanoke, VA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• $2,016 weekly
• Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling block
• One holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period

Your Role

• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care
• Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support: nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Rapid response and code team participation
• Isolation precautions
• May work without CNA support
• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical units

Requirements

• RN degree
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience
• Experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown settings
• First-time travelers and pending licenses from non-compact states accepted

Support

You'll receive 32 hours of orientation to get you comfortable with the unit and hospital systems.
