RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend, on-call, or major holiday requirements
• Position is within the coverage pool for medical oncology and hematology oncology
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with oncology patients, outpatient ambulatory care, and outpatient clinic settings required
• Connecticut nursing license or compact license required at time of submission
• ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card preferred
• May work closely with nursing in the chemotherapy infusion room but does not directly cover or administer infusion therapies
• Responsible for answering phone call triages and problem solving to meet patient care needs while working with the clinical team
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• May be required to lift and restrain patients
• May have exposure to communicable/infectious diseases and risk of injury from assaultive/abusive clients
• May be subject to mandatory overtime on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage
• Required certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, BLS
• No float required
