<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work under supervision of ultrasound supervisor to assist radiologists and physicians in achieving diagnostic scans<br>• Provide patient care activities for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients<br>• Must be registry eligible with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography<br>• Six months experience preferred working in ultrasound performance<br>• Perform ultrasound examinations utilizing proper established procedures<br>• Obtain and review pertinent patient history and clinical data<br>• Produce, assess, evaluate and interpret ultrasound images for medical diagnosis<br>• Document and record all statistical information and maintain record keeping requirements<br>• Operate PACS system for patient information retrieval and image management<br>• Maintain ultrasound logs containing patient information and exam data<br>• Perform quality assurance and infection control programs<br>• Inspect equipment for electrical and mechanical hazards<br>• Take rotation on-call schedule as assigned by supervisor<br>• Carry beeper for 24-hour availability and respond in timely manner<br>• Stock ultrasound labs with equipment, linen, and required supplies<br>• Adhere to HIPAA rules and protect patient rights and privacy<br>• Confirm two forms of patient identification before performing examinations<br>• Must be able to lift and move supplies up to 25 pounds<br>• Must be able to stand approximately 2 hours per day and sit for periods exceeding 3 hours<br>• Must be able to push/pull equipment up to 600 pounds on wheel casters<br>• Attend continuing education to maintain professional competency</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive radiology department providing advanced diagnostic imaging services to the community.
