Job Details:

• 36/48 hour alternating schedule with facility scheduling 84 hours biweekly and a 72-hour guarantee
• 4x12 shifts may be considered with a 72-hour biweekly guarantee
• Block scheduling type
• Weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 3 years of experience preferred; 2 years accepted if from a high volume or trauma facility
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 190 patients across 62 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Key clinical skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, triage, starting and maintaining IVs, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
