CVOR Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 12-hour shift position. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning April 27, 2026, offering $2,033.46 weekly pay.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures
• Assist surgical team from scrub position during operations
• Perform proper care and handling of instruments and facilitate room turnover between cases
• Maintain sterile technique and safe handling of sharps
• Perform surgical counts according to hospital policy
• Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of registered nurse
• Support patients undergoing CABG, TAVI, VAD, ECMO, artificial heart procedures, and heart transplants
• Scrub and circulate as needed

Schedule and Requirements

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week with DEN rotation schedule
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts per unit needs
• 2 years recent experience in cardiac operating room required
• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as Surgical Technician required
• NY Tech License required
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Operating room experience in level 1 trauma preferred

You will work as an Allied Health Professional in a Level 4 cardiac surgical environment, providing essential technical support to the surgical team.
