Occupational Therapist Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with one Saturday per month. This role offers a 1:1 patient ratio in an acute care setting with no floating or on-call requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments
• Develop individualized care plans and attend care plan meetings
• Participate in discharge planning for patients
• Facilitate development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons to maximize functional status
• Evaluate, plan, implement, and modify age-appropriate treatment programs
• Perform administrative duties and participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Document patient care in the MedHost EMR system

Requirements:

• Current licensure in New Mexico or equivalent state licensure
• BLS certification
• 1+ years of occupational therapy experience
• Acute care experience required
• Fingerprint clearance for New Mexico travelers
