ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Maintain 3:1 or 4:1 patient ratios
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required to sister ICCU unit as needed
• 13-week contract length
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed, no block scheduling permitted
• Hospital orientation required during first week with daily class attendance
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
• Strong drip experience mandatory with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips
• Experience required with telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, heparin protocols, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy management
• Must be comfortable with conscious sedation and IV starts
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy, white scrubs or combination of both
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week per fatigue policy
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start and annually
