GGH Level 3 RN OR Pre-Post/PACU - FT

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - OR PACU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Call rotation includes 1 weekday of call per week and approximately 3 full weekends of call during contract<br>• Float between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all through AHA or RQI only) and NIHSS<br>• New York State RN licensure required<br>• Apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high quality compassionate care<br>• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and direct observation<br>• Develop individualized, age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans<br>• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members<br>• Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient progress throughout episodes of care<br>• Promote patient comfort and provide emotional support in healing environment<br>• Provide care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions<br>• Conduct patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization<br>• Delegate tasks and interventions appropriate to individual education and scope of practice<br>• Demonstrate skill in medication administration and various nursing interventions<br>• Comply with infection prevention strategies and bloodborne pathogen protocols<br>• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities and professional development</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility providing surgical and post-anesthesia care services.
