Registered Nurse - PCU @ Johnson City Medical Center

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedule options available<br>• Rotating weekends and holidays required<br>• No call responsibilities<br>• Floating to medical-surgical units required with 1:7 patient ratios<br>• PCU patient ratio of 1:5<br>• Must have minimum 2 years of nursing experience<br>• Previous PCU experience required - this is a hybrid unit<br>• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience within the past 2 years documented on work history<br>• Level I trauma experience required<br>• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH stroke scale, AHA ACLS<br>• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation<br>• Epic charting system experience required<br>• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients<br>• Unit census of 33 beds with trauma ICU stepdown patients<br>• Work with specialized equipment including trachs and vents<br>• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education<br>• 24/7 phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, and supervisor support available<br>• Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area<br>• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)<br>• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start date</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on trauma care and critical patient management.
