PCU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a full-time travel position lasting 89 days, beginning May 11, 2026.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for your patients. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural assessments. You will formulate care plans that incorporate discharge planning with input from patients and families, then implement those plans through direct care, coordination, delegation, and supervision. You will document all aspects of care in patient records and evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed.

You will provide evidence-based care and may participate in research activities. You may also participate in education, role development, and orientation of personnel.

Schedule and Pay

You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week during the day. The schedule includes weekend and holiday requirements. Your weekly pay is $2,582.10.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting
• Recent acute care experience: you must have worked in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an RN in the PCU specialty area
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
