Operating Room RN Job in Weston, WV

Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room in Weston, WV. This 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to work across ambulatory and general OR settings with a diverse patient population.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call responsibilities every 4th weekday and every 4th weekend, including some holidays
• Must remain within 30 minutes of facility while on call
• Weekly pay: $2,016
• Start date: July 6, 2026
• Possible extension beyond 13 weeks

Required Qualifications:

• Current WV or Compact License
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Travel healthcare experience
• PALS certification
• NRP certification

Clinical Responsibilities:

You will assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including endoscopic cases (colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, PEG tube placement and exchange), general surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy), gynecological procedures (hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, cesarean section, D&C), ophthalmology cases (cataract extraction and implant), orthopedic surgery (ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, fracture repairs, total joint replacement), and pediatric general surgery. You will work with patients across all age groups, from adolescents through geriatrics.

The facility uses the Cerner EMR system. You will collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain OR standards and safety protocols.
