RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratios
• Care for MedSurg patients and post-operative recovery patients
• Float as needed within scope of practice
• Handle oncology med/surg overflow patients
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Charge nurse experience requires at least 1 year of experience
• Must pass open book skills exam during orientation with 90% score to continue assignment
• Use EPIC charting system
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including nasal cannula
• BSN degree not required
• BLS certification required
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must comply with fingernail policy - artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
