Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work varied schedule with every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
• Based at NCMC with expected floating to support Loveland Campus or BFC when needed
• Must be proficient in caring for medical, oncology, and telemetry medical/surgical patients
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and ability to read telemetry strips
• Colorado CAPS required
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans utilizing assessment data and multidisciplinary team input
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care, and supervise healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document all nursing activities accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in specialty area within past 12 months required
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend frequently, and respond quickly to patient needs
