Med Surg RN Job in Omaha, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a Med Surg role caring for adults and geriatric patients with stroke, spinal cord injuries, amputations, brain injuries, critical illness, and neurological conditions including MS and Parkinson's disease.

Shift & Schedule:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Cyclic self-scheduling available
• Minimum every 3rd weekend required
• Minimum 2 holidays per contract
• No call or standby requirements

Work Environment:

• Patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Float to Med Surg units as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurse, nurse aids, and patient care technicians each shift
• EPIC charting system

Requirements & Expectations:

• BLS certification required
• Pass an open-book skills exam with 90% score during orientation; failure results in contract termination
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Classroom orientation plus 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation

Position Details:

• 91-day contract

• Weekly pay: $2,338.92
