Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 36 or 48-hour shift options available
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Weekend block schedule may be considered
• Patient ratio of 1:6/7 on days, nights, and weekends with a goal of 1:5 on days
• Team nursing model with ratios split between 2 RNs, LPN, med nurse, and virtual nurse
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with cardiac med/surg patients including CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, and ablations
• Verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rate, and titrate heparin per protocol
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, starting and maintaining IVs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must hold an active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if all three fall during assignment, or at least 1 if only 2 holidays fall during assignment
• May be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
