About this role
You will work as an X-Ray Technician at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a 13-week travel assignment running from June 22, 2026.
Schedule and Hours
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (5x8 days)
- Call responsibility: one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks
- Call shifts available weekdays (4:00 PM–12:00 AM or 12:00 AM–8:00 AM) or weekends (8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM–8:00 AM)
- Up to 40 hours of RTO guaranteed per 13-week contract
- 40 hours of orientation required
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray imaging in Radiology and Cardiology departments
- Work with patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Float within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Allied Health Professional credential
- 2 years of X-ray experience
- ARRT certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Virginia X-ray license (or eligible for temporary license)
- References required
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- 50-mile radius rule applies
Preferred Qualifications
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Carestream portable machine familiarity
- Trauma Level I and II experience
Compensation
Weekly pay is $2,246.40.
