<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)<br>• Maintain nurse to patient ratios of 1:2<br>• Float as needed per census - if pulled to another ICU, still only take 2 patients; if pulled to telemetry unit, only take 3 patients<br>• 24 hours of orientation required<br>• 2 years of experience required<br>• Previous travel experience required<br>• Strong neuro experience required and must be documented in work history<br>• Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS<br>• Epic charting system experience required<br>• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler<br>• Kentucky nursing license in hand or compact required at submission<br>• 2 references required<br>• Complete modules during orientation and annually (non-billable, approximately 2 hours)<br>• Care for adults with acute and subacute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, craniotomies, seizures, meningitis, post-cardiac arrest, sepsis, and multi-organ failure<br>• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, IV drips, dysrhythmias, and continuous IV sedation<br>• Work with specialized equipment including extraventricular drains, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, and ventilators<br>• Experience required with fempops, CEAs, post thoracic surgeries, post cranis, and neurosurgeries</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a 19-bed neuro intensive care unit specializing in comprehensive neurological care.
