PCU Registered Nurse Job in Anniston, AL

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at RMC Anniston. This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with 4x12-hour night shifts. Your weekly pay is $2,592.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in PCU and related units, managing a patient ratio of 1:6. You may float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as assigned. Your responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV insertion, Heparin protocol adherence, and management of cardiac drips without titration. You will interpret and manage dysrhythmias, coordinate with Rapid Response and Code teams, administer blood products, and maintain central and peripheral lines. You will also perform oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current Alabama nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems

Assignment Details

You will work every other weekend. Orientation includes specialty-specific modules to ensure competency in your assigned units. Maximum requested time off is 7 days during the assignment. This position accepts first-time travelers.
